Out in the Park fundraiser looks back to 1986

Thu 18 Feb 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

This year’s Out in the Park official fundraiser will be a nostalgic journey to the days of past. Taking you back to 1986, the year Homosexual Law reform passed in New Zealand, the entire James Smith Corner Basement will be transformed into a super club fit for 1986. Book in that perm, find those jeans back in the back of your wardrobe and mark 12 March in your calendar, Ivy Bar Manager Steven Mawhinney says “This will be the biggest LGBT celebration in the Capital for many years. We are expecting to pack out with over 500 people attending this special event.” There will be drag queens and kings, a huge light installation, glitter bombs and dancing to keep you entertained throughout the night. Tickets are available from Cosmic Corner Shops or online at www.cosmiccorner.co.nz. Out in the Park Official Fundraiser Saturday 12 March 9pm Ivy Bar, Wellington
