Girl band TrueBliss to reform for AKL Pride

Wed 17 Feb 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

New Zealand 90’s girl band TrueBliss is reforming and will make their way down Ponsonby Road in the Auckland Pride Parade this Saturday.   The band formed on the TV show Popstars and the girls Megan Alatini, Keri Harper, Joe Cotton and Erika Takacs have stayed friends throughout the years. Saying they're extremely excited to show their support of Pride and celebrate with the LGBTI community, Megan Alatani says; “We are a close group of girls who love performing together, but more so when there's a great cause or project which is why we jumped at the chance when approached for Pride. To be honest, I would've been at the Pride Parade as a spectator and supporter anyway.” Acknowledging that there is still some way to go before the LGBTI is equal and faces no discrimination within society, Alatani says; “I'm not going to be a silent bystander and see that continue. No. I will shout in support from the top of my lungs”.
