Ak Pride puts out last-minute call for volunteers

Fri 5 Feb 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

More volunteers are needed to help with the Auckland Pride Festival which has begun with a formal event for sponsors and invited guests last evening and a small dawn ceremony this morning. Festival curator Ta'i Paitai says the greatest need relates to the Pride Parade on Saturday 20th which so far has only three quarters of the needed volunteers, particularly for marshaling roles, on board so far. The shortage echoes a similar situation last year when Pride put out a last-minute call for more volunteers for the parade.
