Relationship concerns were a “major issue” for many in the GLBTI community over the holiday period, with OUTLine saying they received a number of calls from people asking for advice. “It’s fantastic that people have extra time to enjoy at this time of year, but for some that means a sense of dissatisfaction, or not being sure how to respond to a partner who decides, with so much going on in the summer months, that a relationship could be improved with experimentation or diversification,” say OUTLine. Traditionally a time to spend with friends and family, the holiday season is not always a celebratory time for many in the GLBTI community and loneliness and substance abuse were also areas of concern for callers.
