Sat 9 Jan 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

InsideOUT are excited to be hosting the first Wellington screening of Golden Globe nominated lesbian romance film, Carol.   The fundraising event aims to help the organisation continue their work towards making schools and communities across New Zealand safer for young people of diverse sexualities, sexes and genders. It will also go towards a resource InsideOUT are developing that focuses on making schools safer for trans and gender diverse youth and the Day of Silence campaign to stop homo/bi/transphobic bullying in schools. Tickets are $20 or $25 including a drink and vegan/gluten free chocolates. They can be purchased by messaging the InsideOUT Facebook page or e-mailing hello@insideout.org.nz. Limited numbers are available. Carol follows two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves in an unexpected love affair in 1950's New York. As conventional norms of the time challenge their undeniable attraction, an honest story emerges to reveal the resilience of the heart in the face of change.
