The former Chief Commissioner for the New Zealand Human Rights Commission and ITANZ patron, Rosslyn Noonan, will be speaking at next year’s Proud: Re-stoke the Fires health and human rights conference. Chief Commissioner during the NZHRC’s enquiry into transgender and intersex issues - the results of which were published in the To Be Who I Am report - Noonan is currently the first visiting fellow at the The New Zealand Centre for Human Rights Law, Policy and Practice at the University of Auckland’s Law School. The key speaker for the conference has been announced and Director of ILGA, Renato Sabbadini will be taking up this role, joining the conference from Geneva. The ILGA Oceania Rainbow Human Rights and Health Conference aims to re-ignite the fires of the LGBTI community on issues of Human Rights and Health in the states of Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Melanesia and the Micronesian Islands.
