Mixed results for Touch teams at Gay Games

Wed 6 Nov 2002 In: New Zealand Daily News

Final competition in the Gay Games touch rugby competition has seen mixed results for New Zealand teams. A Sydney-based team of expat New Zealanders, Poofta Blacks, won the men's gold medal while Auckland's Touch Blacks competed through injuries sustained on very hard fields to win the consolation cup. Despite winning a number of their matches Wellington's Kiwi Knights were unplaced.
