Anika Moa responds to negative online comments

Sat 19 Dec 2015 In: New Zealand Daily News

Anika Moa has hit back at negative comments on social media. The kiwi songstress this week announced her engagement to television journalist Natasha Utting, but not all responses have been positive, with a small few taking to social media to attack the singer. Despite a large number of positive well wishes for the couple, internet trolls have taken to Twitter posting things such as “If you’re going to take a gym buff selfie at least make sure it looks like you go to the gym.” and “It’s attack of the gay commune. Get your soldiers ready.” Reacting to negative comments on social media websites, Moa posted on her Twitter account; "I forgot not to read troll comments on my nuptials. Some people hate my gay lifestyle. lol”. Moa says she won’t be making any further comments regarding negative reactions by the public.
