RainbowYOUTH's Toni Duder says: "We’re really, really excited about our move - it’s been a long time coming and we’ve long outgrown the K-Road space. "RainbowYOUTH is going through a period of growth, and the new space will increase our capacity in many ways." She says the organisation will use half of the space as a drop-in centre - with a private room for meetings or support and community wardrobe will be in the space as well. The back half will be the office where staff will work from. "The bigger space also allows us to invite other groups to utilise it for meetings - as they do with our current centre - and it gives us the capacity to host events more often," says Duder. Rainbow Youth will be in their current spot at 281 Karangahape Road until early March and will move to 11 Edinburgh Street, just a five minute walk towards the Ponsonby Road end of Karangahape Road.
