Mark Fisher of Body Positive says the event went “extremely well” with around 280 people in attendance dressed to the ‘red and sexy’ theme. “The concept was to make the entire space red in recognition of World AIDS Day,” says Fisher. “Paul and Alan did an amazing job setting the space up and Disco Blood Bath had an amazing performance of god vs evil on a moving platform that wound its way through the crowd.” “I chose the name LOVE as we were creating a place to celebrate Love, Life and HIV - a safe place without stigma or judgement and just the community coming together to have a good time and help a worthy cause.” Fisher says a number of HIV positive people came up to him through out the evening and were very happy the event was taking place. “Some just gave me a big hug and kept holding on… then they went back to dancing and enjoying themselves,” he says.
