A male Hawkes Bay medical practitioner is facing charges relating to accusations that he stupefied and indecently assaulted four young men. The 40-year old currently has name suppression and continues to work in Hawkes Bay according to NZME news which has viewed the Medical Council register. However, it is understood conditions have been imposed on his continuing involvement with patients including that an independent chaperone must be present at all of his patient consultations It's alleged the incidents took place in a treatment cubicle, a toilet and a surgical room over several months last year. The accused has yet to enter a plea.
