The Legacy Project is seeking actors

Wed 4 Nov 2015 In: New Zealand Daily News

The Legacy Project has put the call out and is looking for actors from all diverse backgrounds and experience to help bring LGBT stories to life on the stage. The 2015 Legacy Project team As an inclusive LGBT theatre project, the project aims to produce work that reflects the diversity of New Zealand, and they encourage and support people of all identities and backgrounds to audition. They say this includes, but is not limited to: race, culture, gender identity and expression, sex, sexual orientation, age, and disability. This is your opportunity to be part of next year’s Auckland Pride Festival and to perform in a week-long season of six brand new LGBT works. Auditions will be held on Saturday 5 December and any actors interested in auditioning are also invited to come along to meet the writers and directors during an informal pre-audition info session on Thursday 3 December. For the audition you will need to prepare a brief monologue of your own choosing (no more than 5 minutes) that showcases the kind of material, either dramatic or comedic, you would like to work on. Your audition will be in front of six directors each looking to cast their play - and it is suggested you show your versatility. For more information about the project and register yourself to audition, check the project’s website legacyproject.co.nz
