Donations sought for charity auction

GABA are seeking donations for this years charity auction. The GABA Charity Auction and Luncheon is the annual fundraising event for the GABA Charitable Trust. Scholarships and grants amounting to almost $300,000 have been distributed amongst the community over the last fifteen years. GABA is currently requesting the donation of auction items, services and experiences to support the event. Buoys and Gals is the theme of this year’s event, perfect for an afternoon in the Hilton’s Aquamarine Room on the Waitemata Harbour. The programme of live music includes a choral medley from GALS (Gay and Lesbian Singers), plus a performance by Pigeon GABA’s official auctioneer Michelle Maitland from George Walkers Auctions will be at the helm – ably assisted by Mr Gay New Zealand Matt Fistonich and burlesque dancer Miss Leda Petit.   The entertainment extravaganza will be topped off with a very special nautically-themed show starring the South Pacific’s prima divas of drag, Buckwheat, Tess Tickle and Chanel D’Vinci.
