St Matthew in the City will be hosting an evening with Church of England priest Rev Sarah Jones and New Zealand writer Charity Norman, author of The Secret Life of Luke Livingstone. Rev Jones was ordained in The Church of England in July 2004 and less than a year later found herself in national headlines and outed as a transgender woman.Now the Rector of Ross on Wye – a market town in rural Herefordshire, Rev Jones will share her story as the first transgender person ordained in The Church of England. Charity Norman will also speak alongside the Reverend and share her experiences writing her latest novel The Secret Life of Luke Livingstone. The novel tells the story of how Luke becomes Lucia and the struggles and joys of his family. Changing Gender; God and Life Thursday 15 October 7pm
