Priscilla Queen of the Desert the musical is coming back to New Zealand for a return run. It will be back at The Civic in Auckland next October. The last time the Aussie classic was here in 2008 it sold 100,000 tickets over its six week run. It's the stage version of the much-loved 1994 film which tells the story of three friends as they hop on board a bus and take their drag shows on the road across the Australian outback. Producer Garry McQuinn says that one of the great highlights of Priscilla's first Australasian tour was the wonderful reception it received from the New Zealand audience. "A decade later in 2016, our pink bus will re-visit the Land Of The Long White Cloud. She's done a few kilometres since then - having been around the world a number of times with 17 international productions ... including those on the West End and Broadway. "She's more fabulous than ever and I'm delighted to be bringing her back." A wait list has been set up at priscillathemusical.co.nz- those who sign up will be first in the queue when the tickets go on sale.
