New Zealand double scullers Robbie Manson and Chris Harris have secured a spot at the Rio Olympics after making the final of the world rowing championships in France. The pair finished third in a close semi-final last night. Manson says they now have one more job “to win a medal on Sunday”. Manson became one of the nation’smost high-profile openly-gay athletes when he came out publicly late last year. He represented New Zealand in the quadruple scull at the 2012 London Olympic Games, where the crew finished seventh.
