More homophobia from ex Top Gear hosts

Tue 21 Jul 2015 In: International News View at Wayback

Former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond have stirred controversy once again, now making a joke about being ‘fudge packers’ while on tour in Australia. Both made the same joke about getting jobs as “packers” accompanied by an image showing them outside a fudge factory in Western Australia. A spokesman for gay rights charity Stonewall has responded: "We can't quite see Clarkson in the confectionery industry, maybe it's the sour taste that his racist and homophobic slurs leave. All we can see him packing up at the moment is his career." Clarkson was sacked earlier this year after punching a BBC producer. His co-hosts have since left the show. Last year Clarkson deleted and apologised for a tweet in which his co-stars held a sign next to him saying "gay c***" while he slept.
