An anti-gay Kenyan group is said to be organising a naked rally for the visit of US President Barack Obama, to show him the difference “between a man and a woman”. Say what? The group is asking for 5,000 people to strip down. The Republican Liberty Party is asking for 5,000 people to march naked through the streets when the US President is in town next week. Party leader Vincent Kidala says the purpose of the march is to show Obama and the Kenyan people the “differences” between the sexes, according to a report in The Nairobi Times. “The procession shall be carried out by approximately 5,000 totally naked men and women to protest over Obama’s open and aggressive support for homosexuality,” he says in a letter. “The party’s main objective is for him to see and understand the different [sic] between a man and a woman”. Kilda even says his party will hire a “network of prostitutes” to make up the numbers, saying they will do so for free as they are worried they will lose customers if gay sex is legalised. It’s currently punishable by up to 14 years in prison. Anti-LGBT groups in Kenya have advised Obama not to talk about gay rights on his visit, however the White House says the President will confront the issue.
