“Grumpy Cripple” Thane Pullan is hoping to head over to the Melbourne Fringe Festival, and needs a little public support so he can make it across the Tasman. The gay Christchurch comedian has a form of Cerebral Palsy which means he is wheelchair bound and speaks through a computer. He won the South Island Raw Comedy Quest with his straight-up humour in 2014, and wants to take his career to the next level by taking part in the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Check out his page on Facebook here Pullan’s Thane's condition makes travel for gigs very difficult as he requires both a carer and a tour manager for any major out of town trips, as well as staying in hotels instead of on couches. This means that the earnings from any gig are always outweighed by the costs involved. A Give-a-little page has been started and the Melbourne Fringe Festival has also offered an extension on the registration to ensure he has the time to raise the funds required. You can help out here
