After six years, Peaches is back with new single Light in Places – and an album which is due out in September. The queer electro musician is known for exploring the realms of gender identity in her sexually freeing and ballsy music. Her new video for Light in Places, maybe not one to watch at work, features UK performance aerialist Empress Stah and her laser butt plug show. It's the lead single from Rub, which will be her first album since I Feel Cream. "After six years, I was excited about my lyrics again, about what Peaches was,” she says of her return to recording. “I felt more comfortable living out any idea I wanted to try. We spent ten hours a day making beats, and whatever stuck, I would write on and develop. The only agenda was to make the best album we could.” The album will feature Kim Gordon and Feist. Peaches has also announced a photo book which will focus on the last decade of her work, due out this month. Jacqui Stanford - 24th June 2015
