TV presenter and model Colin Mathura-Jeffree has complained he was treated as a "cliched gay boy" on Dancing With the Stars. He’s been eliminated from the first TV3 incarnation of the reality show. Mathura-Jeffree has told the Herald he isn’t happy with the comments from the show’s three judges, who had much to say about his appearance, especially the corn rows he sported in his final appearance. "I did feel I was gently being prodded into the 'cliched gay boy' slot who sits around and gets his hair done," he said. "I don't like being misrepresented. The truth is that I took rehearsals so seriously.” Mathura-Jeffree has since added he is happy to have raised the profile of his chosen charity Alzheimers New Zealand, in tribute to his grandmother. “Now as I've said everywhere this show is so much fun....let's not sully it. I am proud to have done it and accept my place. I also can't wait to see the incredible performances to come....GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!” he has posted on Facebook.
