A new website has been set up to provide simple and up-to-date information on sexual health, particularly for youth, which is also designed to reach out to young lgbti people. Just the Facts is about dispelling myths STIs and related issues to target those at most risk. It’s been put together by the New Zealand Sexually Transmitted Infections Education Foundation in collaboration with the New Zealand Sexual Health Society, funded by the Ministry of Health through District Health Boards. The site’s creators sat they know reaching Kiwi youth includes the lgbti community, and say they have made efforts to ensure the information caters to all audiences. OUTLine is one of the groups supporting the initiative. “We speak with a lot of young people about sexuality and it’s important that the dialogue we have with youth is non-judgmental and emotionally aware,” says OUTLine’s General Manager Trevor Easton. “This site is a really accurate and engaging resource for both concerned consumers and our own counsellors and volunteers.” Just the Facts includes information about more than 130 clinics nationwide, which users can search by location, and check the likes of their status on free testing, supply of contraception and counselling services.
