Pop singer Stan Walker has posted a picture describing the losing New South Wales State of Origin team as “gay boys” and defended his actions by saying it’s just a word and he is not homophobic. The New Zealander, who got his big break in Australia through a reality TV competition, posted this meme after Queensland’s close win last night: When he was called out on the image, the X Factor New Zealand judge took it down and responded on Twitter: “dont try make me out 2 be homophobic. im sitting next 2 my gay bro while he laughs at u 4 making something outta nothing.” Walker also tweeted “i feel sorry 4 people who let a "word" get 2 them when it was never 4 them. Dont be the victim, dont let a "word" break u” and “People getting up an arms about something that was harmless... I get called gay, fag, ni#%# everyday... Its nothing unless i let it be..”He says no offence was intended, and he apologises.
