The business which manages the Qantas Frequent Flyer call centre is the first small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) to be awarded a Rainbow Tick, and the first business in the world to meet the new ‘rainbow inclusive workplaces’ standard. Matt Jackson (left) with the Rainbow Tick's Michael Stevens and Govt. Minister Nikki Kaye Publicis Loyalty’s New Zealand Human Resources Manager Matt Jackson says the Rainbow Tick signifies its commitment to “providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive workplace, regardless of your background”. He adds: “We are very excited to be the first SME to achieve this accreditation as New Zealand is a country of small businesses. We are pleased to be leading the way in celebrating our diversity.” His comments are echoed by Managing Director Richard Switzky who says he is very proud of the achievement, “It totally aligns with our values of respect for the individual and a spirit of inclusion for all, where employees can feel comfortable and be themselves in the workplace.” Publicis Loyalty joins Coca-Cola Amatil NZ, Simpson Grierson, ASB, SKYCITY, Westpac, ANZ, AUT in achieving Rainbow Tick accreditation. It’s the first to meet the new ‘Rainbow-inclusive workplaces: A standard for gender and sexual diversity in employment’, which outlines the requirements to be met for organisations to be recognised as inclusive and safe workplaces for people of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity. A world-first, it was published by Standards New Zealand just last month.
