Beauen Wallace-Loretz Murder-accused Beauen Wallace-Loretz has been remanded in custody after skipping the electronically-monitored bail imposed on him after he was charged with murdering gay man Ihiaia Gillman-Harris in an Epsom motel. Wallace-Loretz, 17, sat nervously in the dock of courtroom four at the High Court in Auckland this morning, casually dressed and flanked by security guards. The general public were excluded from the hearing. He and co-accused Leonard Nattrass-Berquist, also 17, were granted release on electronically-monitored bail on January 20th on condition that they remain at an approved address 24 hours a day and abstain from alcohol or drugs. Nattrass-Berquist is with family members on the North Shore while Wallace-Loretz was to have remained at an Avondale, West Auckland, address. In addition to the murder charges, the pair face charges relating to theft of money and property belonging to Gillman-Harris. Both have pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
