On the back of gaining a Rainbow Tick, staff from Coke New Zealand will march in tomorrow's Auckland Pride Parade. Their float is described as a 12 metre "light and sound spectacular", featuring a three piece band. It will be themed around all the things that are great about New Zealand in Summer, will feature more than 50 staff members, friends and family celebrating diversity and inclusion. "Coca-Cola New Zealand is thrilled to announce its first ever float in the Auckland Pride Parade," says the company's HR head Martin King. He says as a certified Rainbow Tick company, Coco-Cola Amatil NZ staff, family and friends will celebrate diversity on a "fabulous float packed with high energy tunes, family friendly activities and good times". It's today been presented with its Rainbow Tick accreditation, by Programme Director Michael Stevens, "Once a company is awarded it, they get to decide how they want to employ it and Coke New Zealand's partnership with the Pride Festival is a great initiative to highlight support for diversity and inclusion," Stevens says. The Rainbow Tick flag is now flowing over Coke NZ's headquarters, The Oasis, which the company says is a sign of its support for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
