Body Positive head wins Mr Bear NZ

Sat 14 Feb 2015 In: New Zealand Daily News

Body Positive boss Mark Fisher is the final ever Mr Bear NZ to win the title at Urge Bar. He took out the fun competition at the packed K’ Rd bar last night. Fisher receiving his sash from last year's winner Gary Edwards Ben Morelli was the runner-up, with Mr Bear Canterbury Simon Henderson and Wellington's Jamie Doreen rounding out the competition. It’s the final time the competition will be held at Urge, which is closing at the end of this month. "It was a wonderful and cheerful night," says Urge's Paul Heard. "Well done to all the contestants. You rocked." Fisher with Urge's Paul Heard and Alan Granville Fisher took over the reins at Body Positive from its longtime head Bruce Kilmister in December. Before moving to New Zealand in 2013 he was a Director at The Ontario HIV Treatment Network in Toronto. He will now compete at Mr Australasia Bear 2015 during Southern Hibernation.
