The Imitation Game up for eight Oscars

Fri 16 Jan 2015 In: International News

The Imitation Game has been nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture, and Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch for his portrayal of gay genius Alan Turing. Keira Knightley is nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, while the film is also in the running for Best Directing, Film Editing, Music, Production Design and Writing. The film loosely retells the story of Turing, a pioneering British computer scientist. It has divided viewers and critics over its questionable retelling of history. It missed out on any Golden Globes this week. The 87th Academy Awards are being hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. They will screen on February 23 in New Zealand.
