New Outgames Board members sought

Wed 17 Dec 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

The team bringing the Asia Pacific Outgames to Auckland in 2016 is looking for two new Board members. Auckland venue owner and event organiser Paul Heard has stepped down, and two new Board members are now being sought to broaden the skillset on body, which was established three months ago. A number of those organising the 2016 Outgames at the event's launch Heard says it’s a great event to be part of and will be fantastic for Auckland. “However, there is lots to be done, and with recent changes in my life, I don’t have enough time to commit to do justice to the Outgames Board,” he explains. The two new members will join Phylesha Brown-Acton, Prue Kapua, Martin King and Kerry Underhill on the Board. “We are looking for people with a mix of LGBTQI community experience and skills, particularly in the Human Rights area,” co-Chair Phylesha Brown-Acton says. People who are interested in being part of the Board can email info@aucklandoutgames.com
