Thousands run for equality in Taiwan

Tue 16 Dec 2014 In: International News View at Wayback

Picture: Facebook Around 3,500 people have taken part in a rainbow run to support marriage equality and equal rights in Taiwan. Participants were decked out in rainbow scarves for the 15km run in Taipei. The event was about bringing attention to gender diversity, discrimination and equal rights. “In the face of love, everyone is the same. Everyone longs to love and to be loved, so why so should that differentiate between genders?” the founders of one of the event’s organisers, skincare company Abrazo K, said after the run.
