Wellington choir up to monkey business

Fri 28 Nov 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

Young chimpa Malika is in for a vocal treat on Sunday. Picture: Wellington Zoo. A Glamaphones’ concert at Wellington Zoo on Sunday has sold out, however you can still catch their children’s’ concert or hear them sing to the chimps. The inclusive Wellington choir is hosting a rainbow day at the zoo, and all the tickets for their performance at the Wild Theatre have been snapped up. “We will also venture out and sing to animals during the day. So bring a picnic, your family, and friends to this special Rainbow Day Family Event,” the choir says. The free Kids Concert is at 2PM, while at midday they will be singing to the chimps. Both are free, once zoo entry is paid for. Entry to the Wellington Zoo is half-price in November if you travel there via a Go Wellington bus.
