UPDATED: The New Zealand AIDS Foundation needs more volunteers to collect for the World AIDS Day appeal on Friday. It particularly needs people in Auckland and Wellington who can give up an hour or two of their time. World AIDS Day has been held each year since 1988, as an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and remember those who have died. The World AIDS Day collection proceeds go to the New Zealand AIDS Foundation, and the HIV Wellness Fund. K' Rd's Family Bar will also host a fundraising event, through gold coin donation entry to its Princess to Queen final on Friday night. Collectors are invited to attend.
