Calling all actors!

Tue 4 Nov 2014 In: Our Communities View at NDHA

Calling all actors! We’ve been busy developing some great new LGBT stories and now Legacy Project is looking for actors to help bring those stories to life. This is your opportunity to be a part of both the Auckland Pride Festival and Auckland FRINGE in 2015. Six brand new works will be performed in a week-long showcase at the Q Theatre LOFT in early February 2015 and we need you! Auditions will be held on Saturday 6th December, so if you are keen to take part, register your information here You will receive an audition slot time and will need to prepare a brief monologue of your own choosing (no more than five minutes) that showcases the kind of material - either dramatic or comedic - you would like to work on. Your audition will be in front of six directors each looking to cast their play - so make sure you show your versatility. About Legacy Project: After a successful first year, Legacy Project is back and wants to help tell your stories. Submissions have now closed for writers to submit short theatrical works that deal with LGBT characters or experiences from a Kiwi perspective. The six final scripts have been chosen, and these will be developed over the coming months. An additional six directors have been selected from submissions and will assist in bringing each story to life, working together with actors to strengthen the work before it premieres during Auckland Pride Festival and Auckland Fringe in 2015. the Legacy Project team - 4th November 2014
