'Dapper' fundraiser coming to Wellington

Thu 9 Oct 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at NDHA

A “dandy time of dancing, performances and frolicking in the queerest tradition of afternoon tea dances" is coming to Wellington as a fundraiser for a trans youth group. The fun affair will be held at Madame Peacock's on Courtenay Place on 2 November, from 3PM. Entry is via a donation of at least $5, which will go to Tranzform Wellington, a peer support group for transgender young people which has started meeting again after a hiatus. Bow ties, braces and pearls are encouraged. For ideas on appropriate attire, check out the event’s Facebook page here
