This year's Wigs on the Waterfront raised more money than ever before - volunteers with their plastic buckets collected $4,405.80 for the Cartier Bereavement Charitable Trust. Along with a thousand dollars from Wayne Clark at Family bar, and another grand from the folks who took the front tables at Soul Restaurant, the day made a huge difference for the Trust. The biggest star at Wigs knew how the work the crowd up into a frenzy of excitement - Miss Ford was the very deserving winner of Family's 'Drag Drama' competition recently. Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Daphne Bush 'Wigs' peaked early when Daphne Bush, on a very quick visit from her natural home in the 1960's, joined us for a rare performance of the Petula Clark classic, 'Downtown'. Miss K and Miss Ribena take the stage Oooooooh… two drag celebrity MC's on stage together! If only there'd been a jelly wrestling pool handy. Just in case the campness was too much for anyone in the audience, we had St John's ambulance on 'speed dial'. Take it away, Ramon! After a few sound-related thingamygigs, and a wave 'hi' to one of her many fans in the crowd, we were treated to a lovely new song from this classy entertainer. Talent! Buffy and Bimbo: 'You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman' Many in the audience were worried our girls would strain their voices in this demanding number - GayNZ.com can now assure you that they are both fine! The Finale Girls' International Extravaganza These girls are all the way from Finale Cabaret on gay K' Road! Here they give us a taste of Egypt and India. The second clip is a high-energy performance by Coco and Marco, and then it's a solo number by Felisha Pourgette.
