LAGANZ mark Queer History Month

The Lesbian and Gay Archives of New Zealand (LAGANZ) are hosting a special event at the National Library on Wednesday to mark Queer History Month. It will feature speakers Mani Mitchell and Mark Hutchins-Pond. Mani Mitchell - 'A fire and rattlesnake year' Human rights activist Mani Mitchell will talk about the year so far, ranging from the devastating effects of losing important papers to fire to managing life as an Intersex advocate. Mark Hutchins-Pond Mark is contemporary art curator at Pataka museum and will present a queer history of early to mid-20th Century New Zealand art illustrated with examples from the Alexander Turnbull Library and Te Papa collections.
