Thu 4 Sep 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

Eight Queenstown businesses have given their stores the rainbow treatment for Gay Ski Week and are now in the running for the Gay on the Bay competition – with the winner decided by public votes. The finalists are: Aotea Souvenirs The Walk in Wardrobe Outside Sports The Mobile Massage Company Fergbaker Gibbston Valley Vortex Cinema Ziptrek Ecotours The winner will be announced on More FM’s local breakfast show on Friday morning, and will take out a $1,000 advertising package. To have your say, go here and like the picture you think should win before 5PM today Gay Ski Week is ramping up towards a massive ‘Oh What a Circus’ closing party with Sydney DJs Kate Monroe and Adam Love on Saturday night, which you can get tickets to here. Tonight is a free event, karaoke at SkyCity Queenstown, hosted by Miss Ribena. Tomorrow Auckland’s Family Bar is hosting a ‘B Word’ party at Rydges Hotel, which we’re told covers everything from “boys, beers, boobs and bears” to “bbqs” and wherever your imagination takes you. The event initially sold out but Gay Ski Week organisers have arranged for more space at the venue.
