Fri 29 Aug 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

The Falcons slot a penalty In a gritty performance, the NZ Falcons have just gone down 11-8 to the San Francisco Fog who kicked a late penalty to take out the close Bingham Cup encounter. The Falcons went ahead with an early try, and kicked a penalty to put them ahead once more after the Fog crossed the try line. However the Fog sealed the win with a penalty just before the full time whistle. After their win over Manchester this morning, it leaves the Falcons tied for second in their pool, just ahead of the Fog on points differential. The Falcons face a tough encounter with the yet unbeaten Brisbane Hustlers tomorrow morning, with kick-off at 11.50AM New Zealand time.
