Ivy Bar assault accused a no-show at court

A man charged with the assault of the manager of Wellington's Ivy bar failed to turn up to court today and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The Dominion Post reports that Adrian Alf Wayne Sherman, 23, who lives in Levin, was supposed to appear in Wellington District Court today, but didn't show. He is charged with assaulting Ivy Bar manager Steven Mawhinney, and Shanan Paterson at the gay venue on Friday night.
