The New Zealand Falcons have won their opening match at the Bingham Cup in pouring rain in Sydney. They’ve beaten the Manchester Village Spartans 22-0. Pool play started this morning on the back of an historic announcement from the International Rugby Board last night. The IRB became what is believed to be the first major international sporting federation to publicly endorse a gay sporting event.
