"Out in the Park" - a bigger Wgtn fair day

Mon 18 Aug 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Waitangi Park. Picture / Wellington City Council. Wellington’s Out in the Square is moving to Waitangi Park, to become Out in the Park. The annual lgbti fair has outgrown Civic Square, another step in its history since its Newtown beginnings in 1986. “With a bigger venue, we can cater to our ever-increasing audience,” the Out in the Park team says. “Waitangi Park is located on Wellington’s waterfront, next to Te Papa. It’s central and accessible, and it’s filled with lush grass so people can sit down and spend longer catching up with friends and whanau.” Out in the Park 2015 will be held on Valentine’s Day and the call for volunteers has gone out.
