It’s emerged an anti-gay Texan’s wife left him for another woman just months before he took over the helm of a homophobic organisation. Conservative Catholic lawyer Jonathan Saenz is the president of Texas Values, an anti-abortion and anti-lgbt group. Saenz is a vocal opponent of marriage equality who has suggested same-sex marriage support could apply to polygamy or incest. He believes in gay conversion therapy and even claims marriage equality could lead to pastors being sent to the likes of Christian concentration camps. He took the job at Texas Values after his wife of nearly ten years left him for a woman. He unsuccessfully tried to have his wife’s partner banned from seeing his children and attempted to have her prevented from entering the courtroom during divorce proceedings.
