Anna Paquin backs Norman and Greens

Tue 5 Aug 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

Bisexual New Zealand celebrity Anna Paquin is backing brother-in-law Russel Norman and the Green Party. She says she and husband Stephen Moyer will happily help put up election signs for the party: The True Blood stars have been visiting Wellington with their young twins Poppy and Charlie. Paquin speaks openly about being bisexual. She recently corrected CNN's Larry King when he asked if she was a 'non-practicing bisexual' and insinuated she was now straight, by replying "I don't think it's a past tense thing. Are you still straight if you're with somebody, if you were to break up with them or they die? It doesn't prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn't really work like that." Straight lesbian icon Lucy Lawless has also endorsed the Green Party, which has always voted unanimously in favour of lgbti reforms and pro-actively advocated on lgbti issues.
