Wed 23 Jul 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Artist Luisa Tora will discuss the I Stand With You project Auckland Council’s Rainbow Door group will hold one of its regular social gatherings in Otara tonight, where the pro-lgbti work of a group of artists will be celebrated. The event, at Te Puke o Tara Community Centre from 6.30PM, will feature Manukau Institute of Technology visual arts students, who created a powerful ‘I Stand With You’ campaign to mark IDAHOT, or the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia. Artist and activist Luisa Tora will speak and art will be up for sale. The Rainbow Door acts as a type of buffer between the Council and the lgbti community.
