Tue 22 Jul 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

File Photo Applications are open for one-off grants of up to $5,000 for lgbti youth groups, thanks to funding from the Ministry of Youth Development. The $60,000 fund, announced by Youth Affairs Minister Nikki Kaye last month, comes from a $100,000 allocated to support the lgbt youth sector. It’s being administered by Ara Taiohi, an organisation which works to connect groups working with youth nationally. Applications are now open for one-off grants of up to $5,000, for groups which work with queer/trans youth. It can be used for existing projects, or new ones, such as running support groups, events, or even printing fliers. Find out more and download an application form here
