John Key in Mangere on Tuesday The Green Party says John Key needs to clarify where he stands on marriage equality, after leaving a Pacific Island church audience with the impression he will repeal it. Key voted in favour of marriage equality. However the Green Party says many attendees walked away from a meeting in Mangere on Tuesday with the notion that the Prime Minster would repeal marriage equality. "John Key seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth, yet again," said Green Party rainbow issues spokesperson Kevin Hague. “Has John Key changed his position or was he just changing his tune because he knew he was speaking to a conservative audience?" The Prime Minister is currently on holiday. However at a recent 'Forum on the Family' he reiterated his position, which he came to during the marriage equality debate, that marriage was about two people who love each other - and same-sex marriage would have no impact on his relationship with his wife.
