Tue 10 Jun 2014 In: International News

The man wanted over the attack London police are investigation a homophobic hate crime outside a nightclub, where three men were sprayed with ammonia in an attack which may leave one of the victims blind. A 23-year-old man has burns to his cornea, while his 21-year-old friend had the chemical sprayed in his mouth outside the Lightbox club in Vauxhall – an area popular with gay clubbers. Gay Star News says the two men had struck up a conversation with two women and a man outside the club after being refused admission. When the women, believed to be Eastern European, discovered the pair’s sexuality they began screaming homophobic abuse. A man then squirted the bleach hard into the two men’s faces, and doused another man as they walked away. Detectives have issued CCTV images of the man and two women they wish to trace. “Following comments made during the exchange, this incident is being treated as a homophobic hate crime,” London Metropolitan Police say.
