Robi Ludwig US: A psychologist who stated on Fox News that a man who killed six people in Santa Barbara may have been fighting “homosexual impulses” has been fired from one of her commentating jobs. Elliot Rodger killed six people, including his own roommates and random university students, then took his own life in a killing spree last week. Dr Robi Ludwig appeared on Fox News after the murders and said she believed killer Rodger may have been mad at women for taking men away from him. This assertion was based on YouTube videos where Rodger said he was angry about being ignored by girls for other "stupid and obnoxious guys." “When I was first listening to him, I was like, ‘Oh, he’s angry with women for rejecting him’, and then I started to have a different idea: Is this somebody who is trying to fight against his homosexual impulses?” she said. “He probably felt rejected, he couldn’t connect, he couldn’t feel loved, he couldn’t feel successful. Maybe he couldn’t even feel like a real man.” Ludwig has now been fired as the lifestyle real estate correspondent for Coldwell Banker Real Estate, one of the top real estate firms in the US. Coldwell Banker has written in a statement on Facebook: “Dr. Robi’s comments on the tragedy in Santa Barbara do not represent the opinions of Coldwell Banker. Therefore at this time we feel it best to part ways with her as our lifestyle real estate correspondent.”
