'Homosexual impulses' blamed for shooting

Mon 26 May 2014 In: International News

Robi Ludwig A psychotherapist appearing on Fox News has blamed a Californian mass murder on the shooter having “homosexual impulses”. Elliot Rodger killed six people, injured others, and then apparently took his own life in Santa Barbara over the weekend. Prior to the shootings, the 22-year-old Rodger had posted videos to YouTube expressing anger about not being able to get a girlfriend. He said he was being ignored by girls for other "stupid and obnoxious guys." This has led a woman called Dr Robi Ludwig to claim on Fox News that the killings were caused by his “homosexual impulses”. She said: “When I was first listening to him, I was like, ‘Oh, he’s angry with women for rejecting him’, and then I started to have a different idea: Is this somebody who is trying to fight against his homosexual impulses? “Was he angry with women because they were taking away men from him? “This is a kid who couldn’t connect, and felt enraged, and wanted to obliterate anyone that made him feel like a nothing.” “Was he angry at the men for not choosing him? “He probably felt rejected, he couldn’t connect, he couldn’t feel loved, he couldn’t feel successful. Maybe he couldn’t even feel like a real man.” See a video of Ludwig’s claims below
