Kirby rallies lgbti community at Outgames

Michael Kirby Keynote speaker Michael Kirby has told the opening of the Human Rights Forum at the Asia Pacific Outgames in Darwin that we must not only fight for LGBT rights but for human rights for all. The respected openly-gay former Australian High Court Justice and dedicated human rights advocate also reflected on recent changes to lgbt rights around Australia and the globe, Gay News Network reports. It says Kirby drew attention to the plight of lgbti people in countries such as Uganda and India, and encouraged the community to mobilise for change and push for universal human rights.
